Ferrari Challenge Europe at Silverstone

The Ferrari Challenge Europe series concluded its second round of the 2018 season at a rain-soaked Silverstone Circuit this weekend, 27-29 April 2018. Vladimir Hladik, Alexander Nussbaumer, Bjorn Grossmann and Chris Froggatt, all driving the 488 Challenge, were the winners of the first day of the Ferrari Challenge Europe on Saturday. The second day’s racing saw wins from Nikolas Nielsen in the Pro category of the Trofeo Pirelli, as well as a second win for Chris Froggatt in the Pro-Am category, and wins for Christophe Hurni and Ingvar Mattson in the Coppa Shell.

The Ferrari Challenge Europe races were the highlight of the Passione Ferrari weekend, a celebration of Ferrari’s diverse product range, with test drives for clients and prospective owners, both on track and road in the latest Ferrari cars including the Ferrari GTC4Lusso T, Ferrari 488 GTB and 488 Spider, as well as the Ferrari 812 Superfast.

In addition to the road car test drives, Ferrari clients interested in racing with the Prancing Horse also had the exclusive opportunity to test drive the incredible Ferrari 488 Challenge on the Stowe Circuit, with professional racing drivers on hand to explain and demonstrate the car which runs in the Ferrari Challenge series.

But the weekend was not just exclusively for Ferrari Clients. Ferrari North Europe also held its annual Charity Event with 50 terminally-ill and seriously disabled children from Rays of Sunshine and ben, the automotive industry’s own benevolent fund, receiving passenger rides in a Ferrari 488 GTB or Ferrari 488 Spider around the Silverstone Stowe Circuit. This is the 9th year Ferrari North Europe has organised this event, and it forms a central part of the company’s CSR strategy for the brand in the UK.

Ferrari North Europe also had a public display where young people could meet current Ferrari Apprentices to find out what is involved in being a Ferrari Service Technician and how they might apply for a role with the official Ferrari dealer network. Ferrari also recruits for Service Advisors and Parts Advisors across the UK, and candidates interested in these opportunities can find out more details by visiting: https://www.ferrari-apprenticetraining.co.uk/.
