Adam Christodoulou wins the Barcelona 24HR

in the PROsport AMG GT3 last weekend (7-9th September).

This is Christodoulou’s 2ND Win at the Barcelona 24HR , this time partnered with 24H Series regulars Joe Foster (US), Charlie Putnam (US) and Charles Espenlaub (US) in the #85 Mercedes AMG GT3 in the 9th round of the Hankook 24hr series to take their third consecutive A6-Am class win this season – no mean feat taking on a strong 48 car starting grid.

The team took it in turns to circulate the 4.65km Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya holding a top three position throughout the first 12 hours of the race and into the.difficultnight time hours, an unscheduled pit stop meant the team lost some precious time.

Undeterred the team fought their way back up the grid to challenge the #1 Mercedes for the top spot, in such tight competition speed is key alongside strategy which paid off to allow Christodoulou and team PROsport to cross the line with a victory.

‘It was great to be back with PROsport and the American boys, we had a great start to the weekend with a strong performances in every session, the speed and consistency was incredible.

‘24 hour racing is so unpredictable and we had a bit of a trouble during the night, but the team pulled together to get the car back on the track making sure we had the opportunity to push hard which resulted in us crossing the line with a win

‘To finish a 24 hour is an achievement in itself, to win one is amazing but to win two in a row is surreal, it’s a great feeling, a huge congratulations to the PROsport boys and girls it’s well deserved and I am really looking forward to joining them again at the COTA USA 24hours in November for the final round of the 24HR series’.

Christodoulou’s next event is this weekend (14th-16th September) for his debut in the Blancpain Sprint at the Nurburgring GP circuit with Team AKKA-ASP alongside Nico Jamin (FR) in the #87 Mercedes AMG GT3.
