The auction, which has a strong sporting theme, will be live for 6 weeks and will close at 6:30pm on Sunday 25th November. Over 12 auction lots have been generously donated by sporting legends and celebrities which will come under the hammer to raise funds for the charityís work in providing a life-line for racehorses once their racing days are over.

Kenney Jones, the rock drummer best known for his work in the Small Faces, Faces, and The Who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012. Kenney was one of the founding members of the Small Faces whose hits included "All or Nothing", "Sha-La-La-La-Lee", "Itchycoo Park" and "Tin Soldier", the band has been cited as a major influence on musicians for the past 35 years, including Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher.

After the departure of lead singer/guitarist Steve Marriott the group recruited singer Rod Stewart and guitarist Ronnie Wood and changed its name to the Faces. In 1978, Kenney was invited by guitarist Pete Townshend and manager Bill Curbishley to join The Who, replacing their original drummer Keith Moon and the rest, as they say, is Rock & Roll history

Kenney has been featured as a guest drummer on many recording sessions including appearances on albums by Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, Ronnie Wood, Roger Daltrey, Andy Fairweather-Low, Joan Armatrading, Keith Moon, Marsha Hunt, Mike Batt, Pete Townshend, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, David Essex, John Lodge and Wings, He was also on a Top of the Pops performance with Status Quo.

Kenney has a life long love of horses and is a passionate fan of polo. He has become an accomplished polo player and is the owner of Hurtwood Park Polo Club, in Ewhurst, Surrey where The Racehorse Sanctuary has been priviledged to hold some exciting fundraising activities.

Kenney's' personal memoir, Let the Good Times Role: My Life in Small Faces, Faces, and The Who, was released this September 2018 and a copy of the book will be signed and personalised by Kenney as part of this amazing money cant buy auction opportunity
