The Hungarian ace started his title hunt with securing pole position. Came Race 1 and he lost the lead to fellow front row starter Sacha Lenz as the two went into the first corner.

Kiss stayed right on the German’s tale and eventually retook the lead; however, the pass was completed under yellow flags, which were brought out to enable recovery of Jamie Anderson’s stricken truck.

The Révész Truck Racing Team driver was handed a 5s penalty and demoted to second place, which however, was enough for him to secure his first FIA ETRC title since 2015. The podium was completed by Jochen Hahn.

“I’m really proud of the team. Without them it wouldn’t have been possible, and I’m really happy that I have the teams’ championship,” said Kiss.

What we’ve achieved over the last two years is outstanding. It’s a little bit hard to believe that we’re here again.”

Hahn also went on to win the second, semi-reversed grid race of the day. Youngster Teo Calvet finished second, continuing his great form, following his maiden FIA ETRC victory last time out at Jarama. The podium was rounded out by Kiss.

Despite having the title in his pocket, the freshly-crowned Kiss started out the final day of the season with securing his second pole in as many days and converting it into a victory in the first of Sunday’s races, with Hahn and Antonio Albacete completing the podium.

Fourth race of the weekend and the final encounter of the season wen to Lenz, who, having started fourth, only need three corners to settle into the lead and remain in control from then on to score his third victory of the season.

Kiss ended the season with 176 points to his name, with Lenz finishing runner up (227), achieving his biggest career success, and Lacko (203 points) rounding up the season's top three.
