All-Comers Race added to Bahamas Speed Week Programme

ANOTHER FABULOUS ORIGINAL SPEED WEEK CAR RETURNS TO ITS ROOTS

WANT TO DO SPEED WEEK BUT DON'T HAVE A CAR? WE HAVE THE ANSWER!NEW SPEED WEEK BOOK TO LAUNCH AT THIS YEAR'S EVENTBAHAMAS SPEED WEEK REVIVAL 2013

Main Event: 4th to 8th DecemberExtended Event: 1st to 8th December2013 Patron: Derek Bell

Ferrari 250 GT Lightweight Boano, chassis no. 0569GT left the factory on November 7, 1956 in the ownership of Jan de Vroom and was shipped directly to the Bahamas from Italy specifically to compete in Speed Week, where Jan drove it in the Governor’s Trophy exactly one month later.

Having ‘bounced’ between New York, Texas, Europe and Puerto Rico, 50+ years later this rare alloy-bodied car once again returned to Europe, in the hands of its current owner. He then took it to Ferrari Classiche for restoration and certification – where it remained for over two and a half years! During that time, all of the work done on the car has been faithful to its original specification, with new parts produced from the original drawings where necessary. There has also been a complete rebuild of the engine and gearbox with all original parts by Bonini.

Thanks to the hands-on devotion of this beautiful car’s owner, it has enjoyed many Concours successes and he’s looking forward to showing it off in the Nassau sunshine and, of course, proving that, thanks to its glorious V12 engine, it sounds just as good as it looks!

And it won't only the be Boano basking in the Bahamian sunshine as he is generously providing another car for one of his friends to enjoy the Speed Week experience too - but more of that lovely car another time!

ALL-COMERS RACES ADDED TO THE SPEED WEEK PROGRAMME

First it was Formula Juniors and Minis, then Healeys wanted a piece of the action. Now it's the turn of the period cars to join the fray. If you have a Sports/GT racer from the 50s/60s and would like to race it, please contact us without delay - we have some very special new packages available to racers too!

WANT TO DO SPEED WEEK BUT DON'T HAVE A CAR? This lovely Gold Leaf Lotus Elan is for sale with a Speed Week entry!

Carefully restored from the chassis up over three years, completed in 2010 and only covered 1000 miles since, this Elan had many new parts including sourcing new seats, hood etc and ran at Bahamas Speed Week in 2012. £31,500 inc 2013 Speed Week entry.

THERE'S ONLY A MONTH LEFT BEFORE WE NEED TO SHIP THE UK CARS - SO IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT IT, DON'T DELAY - GET ON WITH IT!

A NEW REVISED EDITION of Terry O’Neil’s Bahamas Speed Weeks book will be launched at this year’s Revival in December.
