Gulf Racing confirms driver line-up for Gulf 12 Hours

Ahead of next week’s 3rd Gulf 12 Hours at the spectacular Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, Gulf Racing is pleased to confirm their entries and driver line ups.In the #9 entry driving the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Team Owner Mike Wainwright will be joined by Adam Carroll and Rob Bell who is coming to the event having had two podiums in the Baku Challenge.Wainwright who missed the Nürburgring 6 hours commented “I am really looking forward to racing with Rob and Adam after they were so competitive in our PRO entry in the Blancpain Endurance Series. I’ve not raced at the track before so it will be good to have a competitive race there”.Co-Team Owner Roald Goethe will be joined in the #69 entry Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 by Fred Fatien and Stuart Hall who comes direct from his GTE-Am Championship win in the World Endurance Championship.Fatien re-joins the team for this event having raced with Wainwright and Goethe numerous times over the past few seasons, including the challenging Spa 24 Hours.Goethe said: “I am really excited to be getting back in the Gulf Racing Lambo with Stuart. It will be great to have Fred Fatien join us for what looks like being a really great event on a world class track“.Hall said “It’s really great to be racing again with Roald and the Gulf Racing Team; I’m really looking forward to getting back in the Lamborghini also as it’s a car we both love to drive.”Team Manager Matt Beers added “Firstly it’s brilliant to have Roald racing again with us to sign off 2013. It’s also great to be running two different marques, the Lamborghini has recently been refurbished and upgraded to competition standard and this is a great event to debut it back as part of our competitive stable of cars for 2014”.
