Villorba Corse is Pro-Am Cup champion in the Blancpain Endurance Series‏

Thanks to a stunning podium in the category Italian squad clinches both the team and driver titles with Gai and Rizzoli, joined by Kemenater for the season finale

Nurburg (Germany), September 21, 2014. Scuderia Villorba Corse clinched both the Pro-Am Cup team and driver titles after a very demanding, rainy and foggy iRacing.com Nürburgring 1000, final round of the 2014 Blancpain Endurance Series. Italian squad led by Raimondo Amadio celebrates a stunning double triumph in their very first season with the Ferrari 458 in the world of GT3 cars and, in particular, in this very challenging international championship. The third place in the Pro-Am category (seventh overall) clinched by Italian Stefano Gai, Andrea Rizzoli and Thomas Kemenater at the wheel of the supercar from Maranello was enough to secure both the titles, with Gai and Rizzoli winning the driver standings while Kemenater joined the team for the first time replacing Castellacci.

“We are very happy - says Amadio, Team Principal -. After such a tough and dramatic race, to find the right words is so difficult... I have to say 'thanks' to the whole team, to our drivers and to Ferrari for the good job, the perfect strategy and driving stints and such a competitive 458. We are proud to have successfully defended the Prancing Horse brand in the Blancpain racing world. It seems like a dream but we are aware that we have to focus on the GT Open final rush and on the other Blancpain championship, the Sprint Series, where our goal is to clinch a podium before the end of the season.”
