Sisa Ngebulana returns to HHC Motorsport for BRDC Formula 4 campaign

South African driver Sisa Ngebulana will once again drive for HHC Motorsport, as he returns to the title-winning team for the 2016 BRDC Formula 4 season.

The 17-year-old enjoyed a strong maiden campaign in BRDC F4, becoming a regular finisher in the top-10 and taking to the podium when he finished as runner-up in race one of the weekend at Silverstone in May. Ngebulana, who hails from Fourways near Johannesburg, continued to impress in the recent Autumn Trophy by claiming four podium finishes, including a second place in the opening race at Snetterton, on his way to third in the overall standings.

Prior to joining the BRDC Formula 4 Championship, Ngebulana enjoyed a successful karting career in his native South Africa, despite being a latecomer to motorsport. Competing for just two and a half seasons before graduating to single-seaters, Ngebulana achieved strong results including finishing fifth in the South African National Championship before earning a call-up to represent his country at the 2014 Rok Cup International Final, held in Italy.

Ngebulana said: "I'm happy to be back in the 2016 Duo BRDC Formula 4 Championship with defending champions HHC Motorsport. I had a good run during my first year in 2015, including a very positive Autumn Trophy with the new car, and I'm looking to improve on my performances further in 2016 . The staff at HHC are awesome and a great bunch to work with, so I'm excited to be in their company once more in 2016."

Charlie Kemp, Team Principal of HHC Motorsport, added: “We are delighted to have Sisa back with us for the 2016 season. He made great progress in his first season racing in Europe last year and achieved some strong results, with his Autumn Trophy performance a particular highlight, so we are looking forward to continuing our relationship into next year and seeing what we can achieve together.”

The 2016 BRDC Formula 4 Championship consists of 24 races across eight rounds, with the first meeting taking place on the Snetterton 300 circuit in Norfolk on the weekend of 27/28 March.
