1967 Ferrari 330 GTC Speciale

Estimate: $3,400,000 - $4,000,000Chassis: 10107Engine: 10107

Unveiled at the Brussels Motor Show in 1967, the 330 GTC Speciale was hailed as a brilliant Ferrari-Pininfarina collaboration.

The modern design captured the very essence of late 1960s motoring, combining features from Pininfarina’s latest show and concept cars.

One of only four examples ever built, and featuring razor-edge lines, curved glass and trailing pillars creating a dramatic and beautiful effect, chassis 10107 was initially sold to an important and influential customer – Maria Maddalena Da Lisca.

The heiress of a prominent Tuscan family, Maria Maddalena was the wife of famed Italian pasta manufacturer Pietro Barilla, who was a personal friend of Enzo Ferrari.

This car has been thoroughly documented by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini and is an ideal entry into the finest international concours d’elegance.

Upon its debut in 1993, the new F355, with its high-revving 40-valve 375 bhp V-8, became one of Ferrari’s most successful and best-selling models. Highly collectible in its original colors of Verde Ingles (Ferrari’s version of British Racing Green) on beige leather, this Spider is stated to be a two-owner car through 2015 with 5,600 miles on the odometer at the time of cataloguing. It is accompanied by the original titling application, maintenance booklet, and owner’s manual.

After spending 1,800 hours in the wind tunnel and receiving Pininfarina’s magic touch, the F355 emerged both elegant and aerodynamic, achieving a highly effective downforce at high speed that offers incredible stability. With its wide cockpit, heavily bolstered leather seats and a power top, the F355 Spider offered a new level of sporting comfort. Desirably equipped with a six-speed manual transaxle, the Spider redlines at 8,500 rpm but remains polite and obedient even when charging to 60 mph in an impressive 4.5 seconds.

This rare and exquisite F355 is accompanied by receipts that detail an extensive 2014 engine-out service at 4,600 miles; performed by Dieter’s Autohaus in Sarasota, Florida, the work totaled more than $12,000. The Ferrari has also received further service and inspection in recent months. Its rare colors, limited use, and fine presentation make this Spider a truly special find.
