BRITISH MOTOR HERITAGE TO BE MUCH IN EVIDENCE AT RACE RETRO, STONELEIGH, FEBRUARY 26-28
British Motor Heritage will have two stands at Race Retro – its regular one in Hall 2 and another one opposite dedicated to Piloti shoes - the latest addition to the company’s ever-expanding Motoring Classics range of online automotive parts, accessories and lifestyle products.
The Main stand (No.B6) will feature details of: BMH’s extensive selection of replacement panels and bodyshells for such popular British classic cars as the Mini and MGB; bodywork and mechanical race parts for the MGB; Zircotec heat treatments; and the aforementioned line-up of products available direct from www.motoringclassics.co.uk that spans everything from car covers to clothing and model cars to Moto-Lita steering wheels.
The centrepiece of the display will be BMH’s latest motorsport project – a 1962 Austin A40 primarily created to compete in the HRDC Touring Greats race series. Its much-publicised build story is unique in having been largely carried out by a pair of Oxford Brookes University students as part of their motorsport engineering course. Following its completion last year and a few successful forays onto the track, the venerable ‘granny’s shopper’ is now fully sorted for a season of ultra-competitive motor racing. The Piloti stand (B18) will provide show visitors with the opportunity to examine the range, try shoes on, and place orders.
