Credit Suisse has released video highlights from its activity at the 10th Grand Prix de Monaco Historique (May 13-15, 2016).

Credit Suisse marked 12 years of its Classic Car Program by returning to the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique with its famous Drivers’ Club, now located alongside the harbor at Rascasse Corner. Throughout the weekend, competing drivers and invited guests enjoyed this new location as they took advantage of the opportunity to relax between races at the popular event, followed by more than one billion TV spectators worldwide.

Following an action-packed schedule of memorable moments for media, competitors, and spectators alike, Credit Suisse has released videos showing key moments from the event in May.

A popular feature at the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, the 7th Credit Suisse Historic Racing Forum, this year discussed the topic of “Manufacturers versus Privateers: The Battle for Motorsport Supremacy.” In the recently released video, racing fans who were not present at the event can share in the insights and anecdotes provided by the expert panel, as they discuss the differences between racing for a factory team and a privateer outfit. With Sir Stirling Moss OBE, Jochen Mass, Alain de Cadenet, Emanuele Pirro, and Ray Mallock sharing their views, it was a fascinating and entertaining debate which thrilled attendees and is certainly worth a watch. The weekend also saw Sir Stirling celebrate two Monaco anniversaries with Credit Suisse. First, Friday, May 13, marked 60 years to the day since the British racing legend’s maiden Formula One win in the principality in a Maserati 250F in 1956. Reunited with the iconic car in which he won, he told interviewer Henry Hope-Frost “I spent three hours pushing as hard as I could, but 100 laps round here in this 250F was an absolute joy.”

On Saturday, May 14, Sir Stirling recalled his 1961 Monaco victory as he perched on the wheel of a Lotus 18, interviewed once again by Henry Hope-Frost. Bathed in Riviera sunshine, he recounted another famous win, and what the Lotus 18 was like to drive that day in 1961.

With the crowds jostling for the best viewing position, Sir Stirling wound back the clock to the day he trounced the three factory Sharknose Ferraris for what he feels was his greatest achievement in Formula One and explained how delighted he was to be back in Monaco to celebrate both wins on the exact date of their anniversaries.

The third video was captured in the afternoon in the Credit Suisse Drivers Club where Sir Stirling went into more detail about his Monaco history.
