Trident to debut in Formula Masters

Team ready to enter Magny-Cours tests.

The International Formula Master will go underway at Valencia on the next 18th of May. As just a month separates the teams from the start of the series` second season, Trident Racing will be at its debut in one of the fastest-growing developmental championships around Europe, celebrated by young drivers coming from `junior` open-wheel racing and aiming for an outcome in one of the major supporting series to Formula One, like GP2.

During last winter, Trident Racing decided to expand its programs, and the International Formula Master appeared as a natural choice for a team used to compete in an ultra-professional environment. Winter testing confirmed a constant progress, showing the good direction taken by the approach to the 2008 season. At Estoril, both the staff and drivers received a convincing feedback in terms of pure performance and consistency. The next tests will be held on two days each, starting at Magny-Cours (April 22-23) and Valencia (May 13-14), right before the official start of the season. Trident Racing will be on-track with the two confirmed drivers, Kasper Andersen and Harald Schlegelmilch, while talks are still in place for the third ride of the team. Kasper Andersen"I`m really satisfied with the tests we completed until now. The good job we made on-track allowed us to take good steps forward in developing the car`s set-up, as we found ourselves on the same level of the most experienced teams in the series. I`m quite optimist for the start of the season, and I don`t even try to hide my bid for the 2008 title, also because I`m sure I`ll be able to count on a really competitive machine. The choice to join Trident Racing was made for the future of my career, thinking about the GP2 chances the team is allowed to offer, but I have just one goal today: do the best I can to complete a successful F.Master season".
