Leda Suspension gets back on track

with a drivers test day

Leading motorsport supplier Leda Suspension is celebrating its return from the brink of extinction by inviting its customers to maximise their car’s performance at an exclusive test day.

Being held at Mallory Park, Leicestershire on May 15, the 'New Leda' test day will involve experts analysing each car’s set up and performance before carrying out detailed damper settings and adjustments for faster track times.

Each driver will receive a full end-of-day pack showing their times and all the settings they need to go faster and they will receive advice on how to set up their car whatever the track and conditions.

The quality of Leda Suspension’s damping struts and shock absorbers saw it  establish itself as one of the best-known names on the motor racing circuit, but it went into administration last year.

It was bought by Graham Mulholland, Managing Director of specialist automotive composite manufacturers epm: technology, who transferred its operations from its base in Braintree, Essex, to Ashbourne, Derbyshire, not far from epm’s own base in Draycott.

Over the last year, Leda Suspension has been subjected to a thorough review and its marketing approach has been realigned to concentrate on serving the Clubman motor racing scene.

Now, following racing success when Graham finished first in his Leda-fitted Citroen Saxo in the 750 Motor Club Stock Hatch Championship at Brands Hatch last month, it is looking to reclaim its former glory.

Graham said: “We have got the track and paddock at Mallory for the whole day so we will be able to carry out some comprehensive testing, making this the perfect chance for drivers with Leda suspension systems to get them professionally analysed and adjusted.

“This is our way of saying Leda Suspension is back on track. There are plenty of developments in the pipeline, but first we wanted to get our hands dirty and show drivers and customers how our products can give them the racing edge.”

The test day will last from 9am to 5pm and will cost £275. Spaces are limited to 30 and are allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so to reserve your place, ring 01335 34888.
