A1 Team Switzerland has won the 2007/08 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport title.Switzerland clinched the championship by finishing fourth in the Sprint race at Brands Hatch yesterday.A1 Team New Zealand, the only team that could have overtaken Switzerland in the title standings, needed to finish at least second in the race to have a chance of keeping the title-race alive to the final race of the season this afternoon. However, Jonny Reid could only finish eighth.

To represent Switzerland all over the globe and to actually do it is fantastic. We’re writing a page in the history books.
