FOR 24 HEURES DU MANS
Stuart Moseley, (30, St Ives, Cambs, UK) has joined the Barazi- Epsilon team for the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours.
Stuart will partner 2006 Le Mans Series Driver Champions race team owner Juan Barazi and Michael Vergers in the Zytek 07S car in the LMP2 class. Both drivers have shared cars with Stuart before.
Juan drove with him in an Aston Martin DB4 Zagato for the Classic Le Mans 24 Hours in 2002 while Michael co-drove the Team Bruichladdich Radical at Laguna Seca for a round of the American Le Mans Series in 2006.
This will be the third time that the Loughborough born driver will contest the most prestigious race in the world having driven for Rollcentre and Team Bruichladdich Radical in 2006 and 2007 respectively.
The Le Mans test day takes place on Sunday 1st June which will be Stuart’s first chance to drive the Zytek. The qualifying practice sessions take place on 11th and 12th June and the race itself starts at 3pm (local time) at the epic French circuit.
Stuart’s career highlights include his 3rd in the Classic Le Mans 24 Hours, his 2005 season when he scored 17 race wins in four different championships and his success in Radical cars which ranges from the podium winning LMP2 SR9 to Radical SR3 champion.
Stuart Moseley “I’m very excited to be going to Le Mans for the third time and to be with such great drivers in a strong car is a fantastic opportunity. Having raced for the last two years it would have been quite hard watching from home. I think we have a good foundation having all driven together before – albeit not in the same car at the same event. I think the Zytek will be a very fast car and one of the most competitive out there so I’m really looking forward to it.”
