Onidi (GP Racing) wins race-2, reinforcing his championship lead

On the podium in Valencia - Leal (Durango) and Prost (Elk Motorsport)

Fabio Onidi (GP Racing) won Euroseries 3000's race-2 in Valencia, this is the second win in the championship, reinforcing his lead in the series.

Onidi started from the first row, immediately gaining the race lead. Behind him finished Omar Leal (Durango) whp started from the second row.  Also on the podium was Nico Prost (Elk Motorsport), who overtook his team-mate Fabio Beretta.

The start saw an accident between TP Formula's Adam Khan and Felipe Guimaraes, forcing the marshalls to send the safety car on track for two laps.

At the restart Onidi, who was leading, was attacked by Leal, but managed to keep his position.  Onidi set the fastest lap, winning with a gap of 5"2 on Leal and 7"4 on Prost.

Guimaraes was fourth ahead of Rodriguez (GP Racing). The Spaniard is now leading the Italian standings with a one-point lead on his team-mate Onidi. On the points in Spain was Luiz Razia (Elk Motorsport), who started from the last row after retiring in race-1.Fabio Onidi (GP Racing) came back in winning form in Spain:

“Finally I had a good start and managed to gain a good gap on Leal, which the safety car cancelled. At the restart Omar was attacking, but I managed to keep him behind at the first turn. Then I took my pace and I finished the race”.

Omar Leal (Durango) second in Valencia: “The start was a little bit confused. After the safety car I attacked Onidi, who blocked me. The race was enjoyable, even if in the last laps Prost attacked me. But I controlled him, driving at the limit”.

Nico Prost (Elk Motorsport) went on the last step of the podium in the first Spanish race of the championship: “In the first laps my team-mate Beretta slowed me down. I had also a race accident, without damages. In the last laps I attacked Leal, but in the end I had to be satisfied with third place”.
