Rockingham live on RockingCam

ROCKINGCAM PUTS VISITORS IN THE PICTURE

VISITORS to Rockingham can now catch the action from the track in the comfort of their own homes thanks to the launch of a new interactive service.

Life at the Northamptonshire circuit can be monitored via the world-wide-web following the introduction on a new webcam facility, available through the official Rockingham website at rockingham.co.uk.

RockingCam captures Rockingham’s start/finish line, the pit lane area plus the inner paddock and will give people the chance to see the diverse activities that take place at the circuit every day of the week.

Rockingham Sales & Marketing Director, Charlotte Orton, said: “RockingCam is a great new feature we have added to the Rockingham website, which will provide a fascinating insight to life at Rockingham.

“Some people do not realise that Rockingham is not just a motor racing circuit but an all-year round business. RockingCam will provide people with the opportunity to see how diverse the circuit is and to see exactly what we do on non-race days.”

RockingCam is available seven days a week and will follow life at the track between 9am and 6pm. Fitted to the Rockingham Building, which houses the main grandstand, the images are refreshed every 30 seconds.

The webcam is the latest feature to be added to the Rockingham website, and builds on the interactive services now available to visitors online. RockingCam can also be viewed through the popular EarthCam site.

EarthCam is one of the leading directories of live webcams in the world, and allows visitors to rate individual sites and nominate their favourites, including RockingCam, to form a top 10 of the best webcams.
