RSS Performance is the latest team to confirm plans to join the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Snetterton (12/13 July) when it will initially field two cars for team owner Graeme Mundy and George Mackintosh.Mundy and Mackintosh will both make their Carrera Cup debuts, racing in the pro-am2 category for 911GT3 Cup cars from 2007 or earlier. The confirmation of the RSS Performance entries takes the pro-am2 category to seven cars for the pair of races at Snetterton.The Salisbury-based team is now looking to contest further rounds of the Carrera Cup this season, ahead of a full-time involvement in 2009."This is definitely a toe-in-the-water exercise," said Matt Kelly, the team's business development manager. "The plan is to have a minimum of two new cars in the Carrera Cup next year. We're building up towards that." The team hopes to contest further race weekends this season and is currently in discussion with a number of drivers.
