Super-talented 13-year-old Suzuki Junior Team rider Jeffrey Herlings wrapped up the UEM European 85cc championship one round early on his Suzuki RM85 by dominating his home round of the series - the eighth of nine - at Markelo in Holland.

Some six and a half seconds quicker than the next closest competitor in his qualification group, Herlings was also quickest in warm-up before blasting to two easy victories in the points-paying motos.

Winning race one by 26 seconds and race two by 35 seconds, Herling's lap times were so fast around the rough and sandy Dutch circuit that they were on par with those posted by many of the leading MX2 European and MX3 World Championship competitors.

The final round of the UEM European 85cc championship will be held just two days after Jeffrey's 14th birthday at Jauer in Germany on September 14.
