Celebs @ RAC Everyman Track Day

Team RAC drivers Colin Turkington and Stephen Jelley were joined by a host of celebrities including Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher, current Miss England Laura Coleman, former Coronation Street actress Lucy Evans and the darts duo of Colin Lloyd and Mervyn King at Rockingham Motor Speedway for a Track Day hosted in aid of Everyman.

The celebrities competed head to head in a variety of motoring tests including high speed single seater racing, rally driving, 4x4, karting, wet grip and even a pit-stop challenge.

Turkington and Jelley presented a cheque of �15,000 to Melissa Morley, representing Everyman at the Northamptonshire circuit.

Helping out on the day was the full support of Team RAC including drivers Turkington and Jelley, whose British Touring Car Championship season concluded on Sunday with the former claiming the prestgious Independents Title..Colin Turkington said: "I was delighted to be involved in the RAC Everyman Track Day." Everyman is a fantastic charity and we are keen to do as much as we can to raise the profile of such charities. The celebrities who attended had a superb day, and hopefully I passed on a few tips and words of advice to help them out!"Kelvin Fletcher said: "It was a very exciting day and all for a wonderful cause which is so close to my heart due to my role as an ambassador for Everyman. Having experts on hand in Team RAC made it a great experience for everyone taking part."

To mark Team RAC's link-up with Everyman, the Brands Hatch round of the British Touring Car Championship saw drivers Colin Turkington and Stephen Jelley sport Everyman logos on their race suits. RAC also donated space to Everyman on the front wing of its BMW320si cars.
