Competing in Formula Renault UK this year with Fortec Motorsport, the 20-year-old concluded his second full season in the category 31 points behind Sims in the driver standings in third position.Speaking ahead of his first run in a Manor Competition car, Buzaid said: “I don’t have a commitment at the moment to do the races at the weekend but if I do well in testing I’d quite like to take part. Every driver is curious about other teams so this is a good opportunity for me to try Manor’s car.“The main aim is to learn the track at Spa, I’ve never been there before and for the future it’s good to get some experience. I’m looking forward to joining Manor this weekend and I’m sure everything will go well.”After an outstanding year in Formula Renault UK with Manor, Sims – who was recently named one of six finalists in the prestigious 2008 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award off the back of a storming second half of the season – will be aiming to make a big impact on his WEC debut. Surtees meanwhile, son of John Surtees OBE – former World Motorcycling and Formula One World Champion, improved throughout the latter part of his first season in Formula Renault UK this year, culminating in a debut podium at Silverstone National Circuit. At Spa-Francorchamps, the teenager will be bidding to produce some superb results.Tony Shaw, Manor Competition team owner, said: “We’re delighted Adriano is joining Manor for the visit to Spa and we’re all really looking forward to working with him. It’s always good to go to Spa, the track is obviously fantastic and we’re keen to see how Alexander and Henry go in the WEC. It’ll be tough, there’s a lot of strong competition in Europe, but hopefully it’ll be a good weekend for all of us.”
