Ammermueller and Wasem to join ..

Trident Racing at Monza.

As the International Formula Master is making its way to the final round of the 2008 season, Trident Racing prepares to join the field at Monza with two big news.

The main addition will be Michael Ammermueller: the German, who`s still the only driver able to fight Dutchman Van Der Drift for this season`s title, decided to move to the squad owned by Maurizio Salvadori in order to turn maths into a concrete chance. He`ll be paired by fellow countryman Dominik Wasem, who took the chance to be back racing after a long break with his series` debut.

With the new arrivals, Harald Schlegelmilch won`t of course relinquish his spot: the Latvian is clearly determined to complete a successful season with a top-notch result. With high expectations and the well-known potential, the home race of Trident Racing will count on the right elements to cap the season with an happy ending. The first race of the weekend will take off on Saturday at 12:30 (live on Eurosport), with Race 2 starting on Sunday at 14:15 (live on Eurosport 2).

Michael Ammermueller

"I have a clear goal for this weekend`s race: I want to win both races and take title. My choice to move to Trident Racing was motivated by the good impression the team left me in the GP2 Series: I think it`s really a professional and competitive squad. I`m persuaded they`ll provide me with the best possible support, in order to achieve my goal".

Dominik Wasem

"I`m more than happy to be back on track! The last time I raced it was two season ago, with just a F.Renault 2.0 test completed in 2008. Monza will host a really special weekend to me: I`ll be new to the car and the racetrack, with a little dust to take off my back. I hope not to make any mistake, and improve in each session".
