Räikkönen Robertson announce

 line up for Macau

Räikkönen Robertson Racing has announced its driver line-up for the 2008 Macau Grand Prix.  The British F3 team, who won the prestigious race in 2006 with Mike Conway, will head to Macau with the team’s British F3 driver Atte Mustonen, Formula Nippon racer Roberto Streit and Macau local Michael Ho.

The Double R team, who won the race in only their second year with then British F3 champion Mike Conway, have a strong reputation around the Guia circuit.  Last year the team competed with now GP2 racers Bruno Senna and Sebastien Buemi, but through bad luck and with Senna unable to compete in the main race, the team came away without any silverware.

The British based squad expect better results this year however, as Atte Mustonen makes his second trip to Macau this year, having enjoyed a successful season in the British F3 Series.  The 20 year-old Finn, who won one race and finished on the podium on five occasions, finished sixth in one of the most competitive seasons of British F3 for years.

Roberto Streit also joins Double R for the 55th Macau Grand Prix, the Brazilian racer will make his third appearance at Macau this year, having raced in Formula Nippon this season.  Last year, Streit finished fifth around the challenging Guia circuit and is bound to be a contender for the podium in the Räikkönen Robertson Dallara.

Local driver Michael Ho completes the British team’s driver line-up; the Macanese racer has vast experience of the challenging circuit, and will out to be improve on his best result of seventh place this year.

Team Principal Anthony Hieatt said, “By our high standards we’re had somewhat of a disappointing year in F3 this season and are aiming to make amends for that in Macau, which is one of the most prestigious motor racing events in the world.  We’ve always been very strong at Macau and there’s no reason why we shouldn’t be the top British team this year.  We’re aiming to qualify in the top five and finish on the podium, which I think is a realistic ambition considering our driver line-up.”
