Grand Prix screening for 2009 British Grand Prix ticket holders
British star Lewis Hamilton will have the support of sporting fans all over the country for the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday 2 November when he will be focused on becoming the 2008 FIA FORMULA 1™ World Champion.
With this in mind, Silverstone has arranged a private screening of the Brazilian Grand Prix to be held in the BRDC Clubhouse and will be inviting 50 fans*, who have already booked their tickets to the 2009 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX (19 - 21 June**), along with a host of special guests.
All fans that have already purchased tickets for next year’s British Grand Prix, or who book before 17:00hrs on Wednesday 29 October, will be entered into a lucky draw to win entry tickets to this exclusive screening.
Watching the Sao Paulo race on a giant screen at Silverstone - the home of the British Grand Prix and scene of a Lewis victory earlier this year - will be a memorable experience.
As the tension mounts fans will hope to witness Lewis being crowned as the youngest ever Formula One World Champion. With Lewis just seven points ahead of nearest rival Felipe Massa the atmosphere among spectators at the BRDC Clubhouse will be electric.
Richard Phillips, Managing Director of Silverstone Circuits Limited, commented: “It’s unbelievable to think how much Lewis has achieved in just two seasons in Formula One. He has become a real inspiration and he must now stay focused if he is to win the World Championship.
“I think there will be an enormous amount of people tuning in to watch the end of season showdown to get behind Lewis. It would be very special for all of us involved in British motor sport to witness the first British F1 champion since the President of the BRDC, Damon Hill, took the title in 1996. I will certainly be watching from the BRDC Clubhouse and look forward to what promises to be a great race and a great atmosphere among true race fans. “
At the British Grand Prix earlier this year the support Lewis received from the crowds was almost overwhelming, and we would be very proud to see a British driver, as reigning World Champion, challenging for the title again at the 2009 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.” Tickets for the 2009 FORMULA 1 SANTANDER BRITISH GRAND PRIX are on sale 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can be booked at silverstone.co.uk, or by calling 08704 588 300.
