Will Bratt Spanish F3 preview

Will Bratt is greatly looking forward to the final two races of his maiden season of international competition this weekend, 1st/2nd November, and is aiming to conclude the 2008 FIAT Spanish F3 Championship on a winning high. The 20-year-old EmiliodeVillota.com Motorsport driver, who resides in Banbury, secured his best finish of the campaign just over a week ago when the burgeoning series visited Jerez, taking a well deserved second place finish during round 15.Ahead of this weekend’s action at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, Will has every confidence he’ll be able to produce another strong podium performance and would dearly love to take his first ever Formula 3 race victory before the season draws to a close this coming Sunday.“I’ve really enjoyed working with everyone at the team this year, Emilio and the rest of the guys have been fantastic”, commented the rapid young racer, “The team is very efficient and it certainly hasn’t been through any lack of commitment, effort or skill that we haven’t managed to win a race so far. “We’ve frequently been the fastest combination but we’ve just been on the wrong side of the luck unfortunately. We did manage to identify a brake-related problem which was solved for Jerez so now we’re all aiming to go out on a high at Barcelona with a shot at our first win in the championship.”The British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) Rising Star, who is undoubtedly one of the most talented young single-seater drivers to have emerged from the UK in the last couple of years, has been on the podium twice so far this year in Spanish F3.At the world-famous Circuit de Catalunya this weekend, Will not only aims to fight for the podium in both races, he is also bidding to end the year inside the championship top six with just eight points currently standing between him and sixth place. Two pre-event test sessions will take place at the Barcelona track this Friday, 31st October, at 10.30 (local time) and 15.20 respectively.
