British Superbike Season Review

2008  DVD set out now!

The DVD British Superbike fans have been waiting for is now available. It features more than five hours of thrilling non-stop action, both on track and behind-the-scenes from all 12 rounds of this year's championship.

Produced for the second year running exclusively by Odeon Entertainment, the only official 2008 British Superbike Season Review 2 DVD set is presented by Superbike commentator and five times British Champion, James Whitham.

As well as experiencing British Superbike action on this new DVD, one lucky person will win a Shakey Byrne British Superbike replica. To celebrate the launch of this new DVD, Odeon Entertainment is giving away a superb Ducati Monster 696 British Superbike replica worth in excess of £6000 in a free to enter competition. The Ducati Monster was launched to rave reviews in the early '90s and immediately became a cult motorcycle, with its fully exposed engine and ‘less is more’ minimalist attitude.

The 2008 British Superbike championship was one of the most exciting yet – and that's saying something! Snow caused the first round to be cancelled but it was then all action after that. Shane Byrne established a lead in the championship and then rode cautiously to protect it while young guns, Leon Camier, Leon Haslam and Tom Sykes, battled wheel-to-wheel in race after race. At the end of the season, Shane Byrne celebrated winning the title with a superb double victory.

The 2008 British Superbike Season Review DVD has all the best on-track action from all 12 rounds. In addition, the 2008 BSB Behind the Scenes documentary DVD is also released with James Whitham taking viewers into the pits and behind the scenes. Running for over 4 hours the double disc set has revealing insights and interviews with the top riders and their teams and exclusive video diaries from Leon Camier.

An essential purchase for the British Superbike barren festive season, the 2008 British Superbike Season Review DVD set costs just £19.99 and Behind the Scenes 2008 just £14.99. Odeon Entertainment have also packaged both sets into a 4DVD Collector’s Edition with a unique BSB zipper wallet at a value for money gift price of £29.99. Visitors to the Carole Nash Bike Show 2008 at the NEC, Birmingham, from 28 November to 7 December should visit stand number 2J70, where James Whitham, John Reynolds and Niall McKenzie will be signing copies of the DVD set.
