The Durango driver signed the quickest laptime yesterday morning in Jerez in a 1:24.823 This  morning  in  Jerez,  the  GP2  Series  paddock  started  a  two-day  winter  test  session.  A  dried resurfaced track combined with the GP2/08 car performance improved last year’s fastest laptime by almost 3 seconds.

Italian Davide Valsecchi set the pace on Durango ahead of newcomer Nico Hulkenberg  at  the  wheel  of  ART.  The  German’s  teammate,  Pastor  Maldonado,  followed  in  a 1:25.025  while  rookie  Koudai  Tsukakoshi  placed  his  Piquet  Sports  in  front  of  countryman  Kamui Kobayashi on Dams. Tsukakoshi’s  teammate,  Diego  Nunes,  closely  followed  ahead  of  iSport’s  Giedo  Van  der  Garde, FMS’ Karun Chandhok and newcomer Charles Pic at the wheel of the second iSport car.

Andreas Zuber completed the Top 10 with Racing Engineering.
