WITH WRIGLEY’S AIRWAVES®Fans of A1 Team GBR have the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes as Katie Clements continues her role as an Airwaves® ProAs part of A1 Team Great Britain’s Katie Clements role as an Airwaves® Pro, fans of the British A1GP team have the opportunity to enter exclusive competitions to win A1GP experiences. Two previous competitions have already seen GBR fans visit an official A1GP testing session at Snetterton in September, and two lucky winners experienced an all expenses VIP trip to the first round of the 2008/09 A1GP season in Zandvoort, Netherlands at the beginning of October.  Airwaves® will be offering readers of Motorsport News and Autosport the chance to become an official A1 Team GBR partner and experience the exclusive car branding rights associated with such partnerships.  The winners name will appear on A1 Team GBR’s A1GP Powered by Ferrari car during the A1GP Chengdu, China round, Sunday 9 November (Motorsport News from today) and during the A1GP Sepang, Malaysia round, Sunday 23 November (Autosport).  There will also be an opportunity to win a large selection of signed merchandise in December.Katie was announced as an Airwaves Pro in July alongside fellow motorsport ambassadors Shane Byrne, Leon Camier and Matthew Wilson. The campaign aims to inspire and empower people to ‘KICK UP A GEAR®’ and enable consumers to “live their dream”.  Katie has already taken part in a number of challenges with Airwaves® as part of her role, one saw GBR’s Team Principal getting behind the wheel of a single-seater racing car herself, and Katie also joined other Airwaves® Pro’s and a selection of media to compete in a karting race.  Katie Clements, Team Principal, A1 Team GBR: “It’s an honour to represent such a renowned brand as Wrigley’s, and it’s fantastic that through Airwaves we are able to offer these experiences to our fans.  My daily role obviously differs from the other Airwaves Pro’s in that I experience the thrill and energy of motorsport off-track, but it can be equally as challenging.  I’ve really enjoyed the Airwaves® challenges that I’ve participated in – the track and karting days gave me a small in-sight into what our drivers experience and their mentality once the helmet visor comes down – it’s given my appreciation of their talent a new dimension.  A1 Team GBR has been third in all three A1GP seasons so far, so with the team heading into our first race of the season next weekend, it’s definitely now time for us to kick it up a gear and fight for the championship this season.”
