Next year is set to be full of non-stop bump and grind action after the announcement of the highly anticipated 2009 Yokohama V8 Utes Racing Series Calendar.

The V8 Utes remain one of the most popular motorsport categories in Australia and will once again be featured on many of the “marquee” events around Australia such as the Clipsal 500, and the two new street events in Townsville and Sydney.

V8 Utes Category Manager SPHERIX, director Bill West is pleased with the Calendar and excited about the year to come. 

“It’s a good feeling to have such a strong calendar set for next year,” he said.

 “We have landed some great locations like Darwin and Adelaide where we know we are very popular and to be included in Townsville and Sydney sends a very strong message about the strength of our category”.

 “We love all of the cities and racetracks that we visit and it will be great to see old and new faces around the pits in the year ahead,” said West.

There is still one round remaining of the 2008 V8 Utes Racing Series, which will be raced at Oran Park, 6 – 7 December.

Race two will be televised live on the Seven Network, Saturday 6th December from 2pm.
