#21 Fabio Leimer, 21st - 1:18.353

The first of the three days of GP2 Main Series testing at Paul Ricard was held today, as an opening for the series` final collective sessions. Trident Racing fielded two great talents of motorsports: World Series by Renault`s 2008 runner-up Julien Jousse was joined by Fabio Leimer, runner-up in this season`s International Formula Master.

Jousse had his first experience on a GP2 Series car: the Frenchman, who scored 1 win and 5 podium finishes this season, focused on increasing his feeling with Trident Racing`s Dallara and with the whole team. Leimer who was awarded a half-day test as a prize for his 2nd-place in standings, decided to stay in the afternoon too. Since he was a first-timer too, he followed the same program as Jousse, trying to understand the car`s performance and handling.

Both drivers proved to have found a good feeling despite running in some extremely tough conditions, among rain showers and red flags. Especially for a young rookie, understanding how to deal with the tires` warming curve is a difficult task: Leimer and Jousse did a good job, completing the work scheduled by the engineers with wet and dry set-ups, and positively impressing the team`s technical staff.
