COYS Autosport auction sees McRae & Burns Impreza under the hammer

COYS is to auction more than 50 Grand Prix, Competition, Touring and rally cars at its auction at the Autosport show on Saturday January 10th at the NEC in Birmingham.

“This will be the start of our 2009 season,” said Chris Routledge the Managing Director of COYS, “ This is the biggest racing car show in the world and it we are looking forward to a great auction.Amongst the cars going under the hammer will be the 997 Subaru Impreza WRC, used by Colin McRae and Richard Burns during World Rally Championship recce’s. Estimate £70,000-£85,000

Also on offer are:A 1974 Alfa Romeo TZ2 Evocazione beautifully prepared and correct in every detail. Estimate £48,000-£60,000A 1986 Ferrari 412 in black with a red leather interior – no reserve.1959 Ferrari 250 GT aluminium Spyder Long Wheel Base 200,00 to 280,000A 1985 Metro 6R4 £35,000 to £45,000A 1991 Opel Lotus Omega £18,000 to £25,000A 1985 Porsche 911 RSR Recreation £25,000 to £30,000.

Also going under the hammer will be the ex Martin Kemp ‘ “Gangster Car“ as seen in Discovery Channel’s Chop Shop Series which is being offered at no reserve. Also from the world of film and TV is a 1979 Lincoln Continental Batmobile as used by Adam West for his UK appearances along with the Bat Bike both being offered as a joint lot, estimate £35,000 to £45,000.

A 1958 VW Samba – 23 Window, Fully restored and with some additional Porsche upgrades. Estimate £28,000-£35,000;A1972 Porsche 911S to RSR Specification. Fully prepared and complete with FIA paperwork, Ready for classic Le Mans. Estimate £70,000- £85,000 and a 1987 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Volante, which was the car used by AM for their brochure. Estimate £70,000-£90,000
