IPSWICH manager Pete Simmons is bullish about his side’s chances in the coming Elite League season.The Witches were beaten in the play-off semi-finals last year and Simmons feels they can go further in 2009.He said: "Jarek Hampel, Piotr Swiderski and Daniel King will be as strong a heat leader trio as any in the country, and in Darcy Ward we have Australia’s hottest prospect."

WEYMOUTH have announced the signing of James White-Williams in a deal which sees the 23-year-old switch from rivals Plymouth.White-Williams made his debut in the sport last season and will race at reserve for the Wildcats in the new National League.He said: "I'm looking to build my confidence over the season and would like to see myself as an integral part of the team."
