Motors TV February Highlights

LE TOUQUET ENDUROPALE - LIVE!It’s the most prestigious beach enduro in the world! Three hours racing across the whoops and ruts dug by the constant pounding of hundreds of motorbikes. Three hours of aching arms and hands. The fourth edition of the Enduropale, hosted by the city of Le Touquet and the FFM, will no doubt follow the tradition of its forefather, the Enduro du Touquet by providing a spectacular race.

Since its rebirth, the Enduropale has evolved to meet environmental pressures and also the explosion of a new mode of transport, quad bikes, leading to the creation of the ‘Quaduro’, which runs alongside the Enduropale. Motors TV has brought coverage of the Enduropale since its very first edition and continues this season bringing a thrilling weekend of motorbike and cross-country passion LIVE to your living room.

Recently, even the likes of Juan-Pablo Montoya and Jacques Villeneuve have had to find their feet before challenging the ‘good ol’ boys’ at their familiar oval battlegrounds.ARCA therefore is the ideal place to learn your trade. A championship forged in the image of NASCAR, it’s the ideal place to gain experience ahead of a future in America’s premier category. In 2008, the series’ headline maker was Scott Speed, the ex Toro Rosso Formula One star, who managed to re-invent himself as a stock car star-in-waiting after his return to the USA.

ARCA is screened every Saturday evening at 21:00.

It features year-old cars from the main series and a whole host of drivers with top flight experience from racing in the endurance events at Phillip Island and Bathurst. The standard is high and you can follow the action every Wednesday evening.

After an hour of V8 Lite action, next up is the Aussie Racing Cars championship. The cars may be smaller and the series might be a little further down the motorsport ladder, but the show, at some of Australia’s best circuits, is just as exciting.

THE 24 HOURS OF DUBAIDeep in the motorsport off-season, the circuits of the Middle East offer a chance to escape the wintry conditions and race in sunnier climes, better conditions and in events that aren’t competing with high profile championships and races for media coverage. Over in Dubai it is now four years since their inaugural 24 Hour race, traditionally staged in January. The event marks the beginning of the endurance racing season, even though it is run to the strict rules laid down by the ACO and IMSA. The competition is opened up to GT and Touring cars run by the top teams and driven by a selection of renowned drivers, including, in 2009, Johnny Herbert.Motors TV is the official TV station of the event and brings action exclusively to your home.
