Halliday mentors BWRDC Gold Star winners

Dual sportswoman Liz Halliday has been selected as a mentor by the British Women Racing Drivers Club (BWRDC) for their new Elite Gold Stars scheme.

The newly established programme will see the BWRDC make an annual ‘Gold Star’ award to two of its members, with the first pair of winners to be announced at the Autosport International Show this weekend where multiple American Le Mans Series race winner Halliday and DTM star Susie Stoddart will make the presentations.

Ginetta series racer Sarah Franklin, Hot Hatch star Ilsa Cox, GT driver Rachel Green, VdeV UK series runner-up Sarah Reader and ex-Monoposto champion Amanda Whittaker have been nominated for the ‘Club’ prize aimed at aspiring professional drivers. Ginetta Junior racers Louise Richardson and Cassey Watson, Sax Max driver Zoe Wenham and British karters Abigail Gerry and Jessica Hawkins have been shortlisted for the ‘Elite’ award aimed at younger drivers.
