The Motor Sports Association, governing body of UK motor sport, has welcomed last week's approval of planning permission by North-West Leicestershire District Council for the redevelopment of Donington Park that will enable the venue to host the FIA Formula One British Grand Prix from 2010.

MSA Chief Executive Colin Hilton said:

"We are delighted that Donington's plans have been well received and approved by the District Council. This is an important milestone in Donington's development for the 2010 British Grand Prix and we look forward to continuing to work closely with the circuit on their preparations."
