(SPEEDWAY 1)WOLVERHAMPTON have handed their final team place to Czech youngster Hynek Stichauer.The 21-year-old impressed promoter Chris Van Straaten with his displays on the continent last year, and he comes to Monmore Green on a 4.00 average.Van Straaten said: "What impressed me most about this young rider is his keenness. He wants to race in Britain and is making it very much his priority in 2009."(SPEEDWAY 2)BELLE Vue have completed their squad with the signing of exciting young Swedish rider Thomas H Jonasson.Jonasson will continue with Premier League Edinburgh but will double-up with the Aces in the top flight, sharing a reserve berth with Steve Boxall.Manager Chris Morton said: "Signing Thomas is a major coup for us because he is a great prospect who is highly regarded at home."

(SPEEDWAY 3)WORLD Cup organisers BSI have confirmed that Peterborough will stage the British round of the competition on July 13.The event will see Great Britain take on Australia, Poland and the winners of the qualifier between Italy, Germany, Slovenia and Hungary.Panthers owner Rick Frost said: "Everyone at the club is looking forward to welcoming fans from all over the UK and Europe to see a very competitive round."(SPEEDWAY 4)SOMERSET general manager David Croucher says he will be keeping a close eye on events in Australia this weekend.Croucher confirmed he has several permutations available to complete his team but is waiting for the state championship event at Gillman.He said: "Depending on the outcome of that meeting, we may be calling on the services of another young Australian.
