4th Le Touquet Enduropa on Motors TV

It’s the most prestigious beach enduro in the world! Three hours of racing across the whoops and ruts dug by the incessant pounding from the wheels hundreds of motorbikes. Three hours of aching arms and hands. The fourth edition of the Enduropale, hosted by the city of Le Touquet and the FFM, will no doubt follow the tradition of its forefather, the Enduro du Touquet, by providing a spectacular race. And the success of this race in recent years has seen crowds soar to a total of 300,000 spectators across the whole weekend!

In February 2008, Arnaud Demesteer added to his already weighty reputation as a legend of the Enduropale. The Yamaha rider took a seventh overall win on the beaches of Touquet at the end of an intense, and sometimes fraught, battle with three times runner-up and 2006 winner Timotei Potisek. No doubt revenge will be on the agenda in 2009 and the ‘Sandman’ (as Demesteer is fondly known) will face strong competition from not only Potisek, but other former winners such as Jean-Claude Moussé and Thierry Bethys who has just returned from the Dakar in Argentina.

Since its re-birth, the Enduropale has continuously evolved with the times and has recognised environmental pressures and the explosion in the popularity of the quad bike.  As such 2009 witnesses the birth of the ‘Quadro’, an event specifically for quads which will take place the day before the main event.

Since the first edition of the Enduropale, Motors TV has provided full coverage and is again set to broadcast this weekend of passionate cross country motorbike action LIVE. The whole extraordinary race will be covered, with three hours of uninterrupted action from the beaches of Northern France.

A date not to be missed!

4th Le Touquet Enduropale: Sunday 22 February at 11:45am.
