POPULAR Ipswich rider Tobi Kroner is facing up to the most important season of his career.The German, 23, ended last season with an injury but will be fully fit for the 2009 launch next month.He said: "Every year is important, but this will be an extra important season for me. I have made progress since I joined Ipswich, and now I want to accelerate this."

CONFIDENT Redcar boss Brian Havelock is backing his side for success in the new season.Havelock is in charge of the club after his consortium took over from previous owner Glyn Taylor."I'm over the moon with the team," he said. "I couldn't wish for anything better. I looked at it the other night and we're going to have a right good rider in every race."
