 Qualifying resultsdo not reflect team's true potential    

 Yelmer Buurman and Fabrizio Crestani knew how to benefit from their first set of tyres in order to put themselves up among the top ten fastest drivers at the beginning of the qualifying session for the first race in Qatar for the GP2 Asia Series. 

 However, traffic hampered both drivers from the Ocean Racing Technology team when they had their second run with Yelmer Buurman once again the victim of a mechanical gremlin which left him down in 23rd place on the starting grid.

As for Fabrizio Crestani, he secured the 15th best time but, the result could have definitely been better: "I was very happy with my lap times on myfirst set of tyres but things got complicated with the second. I just could not find a clean lap and the temperature of my tyres went down, which made the competitiveness of my car go down as well. But I feel I'm improving in all areas and the team is certain that our places should have been much higher on the grid," the Italian said.

Less satisfied, Yelmer Buurman will be once again be forced to make up ground from the back of the field: "Qualifying did not go the way we wanted it to. I had a lot of traffic then the fuel pump let me down and there was nothing I could do! It is frustrating because I secured the 7th best lap time in free practice and I even climbed up to 4th. But I won't give up, I will fight hard to try and gain as many positions as I can in the feature race," Buurman assured.

The two races of the GP2 Asia Series will be broadcasted on Eurosport 2 Friday at 4:00PM and Saturday at 5:00PM, one hour delayed. The weather forecasting in Doha indicates that the sky will overcast and that the maximum temperature will be 22/23°C.
