 eco-friendly Bio-Methanol fuel in 2009

Bio Methanol Fuel will be used for the first time in The British Hillclimb Championship in 2009.

Deryk Young driving his Gould GR51 has teamed up with the Dutch Chemical Company ‘Bio MCN’ who will supply him with the fuel to power his ex F1 Judd EV. The innovative technology used in the fuels production began in May 2008 converting glycerine into a high quality bio methanol on a large scale and from renewable sources.

Deryk feels that motorsport should be a leader when it comes to automotive green issues, showing the public that competitors andenthusiasts alike want to do their bit when it comes to reducing carbon emissions and improving the environment.
