JMH Automotive joins Porsche Carrera Cup

JMH Automotive is the latest team to join the Porsche Carrera Cup GB by entering a car in selected races for established sports car ace Aaron Scott. The car's owner, Andy Ruhan, will also contest some rounds as the team plans to compete in half of the season's 10 race weekends.Scott, who is likely to make his Carrera Cup GB debut at Donington Park in May, is keen to show his pace in the 911GT3 Cup car. "I'm really looking forward to it. The Carrera Cup is very competitive, but I hope I'll be up there somewhere." The former single-seater racer has extensive sports and GT racing experience, but is realistic about the new challenge he faces."The team has really gelled with the car and I've done a reasonable mileage so far," said Scott. "I've raced Porsches before, but never in the Carrera Cup. We're already quite well up to speed with the car. I'm optimistic about our chances, but I'm respectful of the teams and drivers we're up against."Cheshire-based JMH Automotive has a strong sports car racing pedigree, with a history of championship success going back for nearly a decade. Ruhan, meanwhile, has scored a series of impressive results in Britcar and GT racing over recent seasons. Both drivers are scheduled to drive the car at the Carrera Cup GB pre-season test day at Silverstone on Monday 16 March
