International Formula Master (IFM) will descend on the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium next week for a two-day test, before returning to the Belgian track in August for a Formula 1-partnered race weekend.
The test is the third of four official testing sessions before the Series' 2009 international racing season begins next May. One more official test will take place before however, with two days scheduled at the Hungaroring in Hungary.
The Hungarian circuit also features on the IFM racing calendar as the other race weekend supporting the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, whilst the remaining six IFM rounds will partner the FIA World Touring Car Championship (see full calendar below) throughout Europe.
"This is the first time that our teams will be able to test on both Formula 1 circuits in an official capacity and with the 2009 upgrades on the IFM single-seaters," said the Series' General Manager Alessandro Alunni Bravi.
"I know many of our drivers are looking forward to these tests, especially for a chance to drive around Spa. It's a circuit that holds a legendary reputation amongst drivers and we expect it to be a lot of fun in a Formula Master car."
