Championship Round 5 - 29 March - President's Trophy - Southsea MC - Langrish, Nr Peterfield, Hants

Ian Wright won an extremely close low scoring and dry President's Trophy trial for the second time in three years. Second place was the subject of a three-way tie-break just one point behind with John Ridley winning the intermediate class from Ian Rodman at Southsea's new venue near Petersfield. Dave Rance was leading for most of the day but two costly mistakes on the last three hills dropped him to ninth. David Zank won the novice class in fourteenth place.
