Glynn Geddie heads to Brands

Teenage motorsport sensation Glynn Geddie will this weekend be racing in the opening round of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB at Brands Hatch - the scene where he clinched the Pro-Am 2 championship last September.

The Aberdeenshire-born ace is aiming high this year after signing for reigning champions Team Parker Racing and is hoping to continue his successes from last year after being at the sharp end of the timesheets in winter testing.

Glynn Geddie: "This is an important year for the team and myself as we're here to fight for the championship. The package is definitely there to challenge for the win this weekend and Brands is a track I really enjoy and have good memories of so I can't wait to get there."

The Porsche Carrera Cup GB, which fields identical 911 GT3 cars, enters its seventh year in 2009 on the 1.198 mile Indy circuit in Kent, which will be in support of the MSA British Touring Car Championship.
