(SPEEDWAY 1)IPSWICH rider/boss Chris Louis says his side have the toughest possible start to their league programme when Coventry visit Foxhall on Thursday.Former Bees rider Morten Risager will make his Ipswich debut against his old club after joining as cover for the injured Leigh Lanham.Said Louis: "The team assembled by Colin Pratt and Peter Oakes is very solid and they have several Foxhall experts, including former Witches man Rory Schlein."(SPEEDWAY 2)BELLE Vue boss Chris Morton believes his side are in good shape going into three Elite League meetings in four days - starting at Coventry on Friday.The Aces then head to Eastbourne on Saturday before their first home league clash with Lakeside on Monday.Morton said: "It's a busy weekend but most of the boys have done a few meetings now. They had a good workout at Belle Vue last Monday."

POOLE boss Matt Ford has admitted his search for new signings is proving difficult.

Ford is looking to replace the injured Jason Doyle and possibly Kyle Legault, who is facing more surgery on his thigh.

Said Ford: "I've had one or two people offer their services for a short period, and I've also had one very good rider who said he'd be available from May onwards."

GLASGOW are looking to build on their Spring Trophy success over Edinburgh when they launch their Premier Trophy campaign this weekend.

Tigers go to Workington on Saturday and then face Redcar at Ashfield on Sunday.

Co-promoter Alan Dick said: "I think Redcar will be a real threat this season and it's a tough start for us this weekend, but we're in a confident mood after last week."
