The rain caused a number of gambles on tyre strategy - but ultimately the torrential rain caused conditions to be be too dangerous to race - with zero visibility and huge pools of standing water. Cars sat on the grid for some 53 minutes until the 2 hour race time was reached - not the ideal way for the race to end - but perhaps the only outcome given the weather.
