British F3/British GT TV coverage

Both the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series and the Avon Tyres British GT Championship will enjoy significant terrestrial and satellite TV coverage this season.

One-hour stand-alone programmes on each championship will be aired on Motors TV, both in the UK and across Europe, after each race meeting, with 30-minute shows on Channel 4, provisionally scheduled for Saturday mornings.

All the programmes will be filmed, edited and produced by one of the UK's leading independent production companies, HayFisher. Managing Director Richard Hay said: "We are very pleased with the airtime gained by both championships. Motors TV offers excellent satellite reach across Britain and mainland Europe, while our deal with Channel 4 makes British F3 and GT available to anyone with a regular TV with a terrestrial aerial."

Alistair Spence, from series promoter SRO Motorsports Group, adds: "Formula 3 has enjoyed an unbroken 10-year run on Channel 4, and we are delighted to see it returning to mainstream British TV for another exciting season."

Motors TV reaches 9.7m UK homes and 15.9m homes Europe-wide. The UK Motors TV channel - Sky Channel 413 - kicks off its Cooper Tires British F3 International Series coverage with footage from the coming weekend's races at Oulton Park on 18 April at 1700. The Avon Tyres British GT Championship races from Oulton get an airing on 25 April at 1800. Repeat programme timings are listed at the championship websites.
