British Sporting Trials Championship

Round 7 - 19 April - Derbyshire - Lancashire & Cheshire Car Club - Warslow, Nr Buxton.

Thomas Bricknell won his first sporting trial for eighteen months at the sixty-sixth running of the Derbyshire. Ian Wright led all day but dropped a costly eleven points on the last hill getting stuck on a tree like a third of the entry. Meanwhile Bricknell had a fantastic afternoon to become the sixth different winner in the first seven MSA rounds. Mark Seward completed the podium, also winning the intermediate class from Monty Peters who was just two points behind and top live-axle car. Tom Rees won the novice class from Ian Evitt.

As round 8, the Jacobean Trial, has been cancelled, the championship now takes its summer break, returning with the Robin Jager on 13 September.
