After meeting in Milan on Thursday to hear an appeal lodged by Carlin, the Court of Appeal of the CSAI (Italian Motorsports Commission) has quashed the time penalty imposed on Jean-Eric Vergne following Race 2 at the Monza meeting in May.Demoted to third place as a result of the penalty and collecting only 15 points as a result, the Frenchman has now been awarded the win and the 25 points that come with it, altering the championship standings.Completing the amended top three behind the Frenchman are Daniel Ricciardo (ISR) in second and Alexander Rossi (Fortec Motorsports) in third.
