Quaife MSA British Rallycross Championship

Round 6: Knockhill, 18 September

Julian Godfrey appears to have one hand on the championship trophy following victory at a sodden Knockhill.

Godfrey shared the front row of the A Final with Steve Hill and reigning champion Pat Doran. Hill took the lead at the first corner before being hit by Godfrey following a chain reaction incident in the pack. Godfrey managed to avoid trouble and scampered to victory, while behind David Binks beat Kevin Procter to second place.

Godfrey’s win strengthens his position at the head of the championship standings, but Binks and Andy Scott remain in the title chase with everything to play for in November’s final round at Croft.
